All of the effects listed below are very hard to quantify and not all of them may be true.
More Man-to-Man (Man)
Effects:
- More steals
- Less blocks
- Descreased opposition 3FG%
- Thought to fatigue players quicker
- Helps rebounding?
- More fouls?
- Increases opposition 2FG%?
- Provides more direct matchups (So man is better to match an Exc defender on their shooter at same position)?
Normal (Norm)
Effects:
- Baseline for comparison
More Zone (Zone)
Effects:
- More blocks
- Less steals
- Increased opposition 3FG%
- Thought to fatigue players slower
- Less fouls?
- Decreases opposition 2FG%?
- Helps to hide a bad defender?
